“This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” John 11:4

                                            ————————————————————————

M texted me early this morning:

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.  Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you.  Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. (Psalms 143:8-10 NIV)

C also texted me early this morning:

Have you not known? Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless…those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31 NRSV)

C went on to say, “For six months he has been an eagle, weary-free.  This will just have to be enough for us right now.  I’m thinking of you today.”

The best of friends.
